Save Your Change Challenge

The "ILLINOIS SAVE YOUR CHANGE CHALLENGE" is on! This year, we are asking everyone involved with the organization (contestants, local directors, volunteers ... everyone) to gather up their loose change (or dollars) and keep it all in a milk jug or jar. You can even go out into your community and collect change from friends, family and neighbors. We encourage everyone to decorate their containers as well.

Then at our Spring Forum in 2010, where everyone will turn in their change, we will award prizes to the individuals who collect the most change and to those who have the most creatively decorated containers. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Children's Miracle Network - the official charity of the Miss America Organization.

Beginning 2010 our Miss Illinois Outstanding Teen & Pre-Teen Contestants will be participating as well.

This is something very simple that we can all do with minimal effort but the benefits to the organization can be enormous!
